Layton to Perform at Gourmet Local Dinner to Benefit Company Shops
Market at Braeburn Farm in Snow Camp, NC
Ryan Layton began playing
guitar at the age of 12. His first interest was rock music but upon
his acceptance to the North Carolina School of the Arts in the 10th
grade, his interests widened to include classical guitar. Since
then, Ryan has performed in numerous recitals and been on several
concert tours throughout North Carolina, Virginia, and West
Virginia.
Outside of the concert hall,
audiences have seen Ryan at churches, restaurants, weddings,
parties, and the Greenbrier Resort. The music he plays comes from
all over the world and represents time periods from the Baroque era
to the present day. Ryan’s repertoire features lively South American
dances, American jazz standards, beautiful ballads, Spanish folk
music, and nearly everything in between. Such a wide variety
showcases the beauty of the guitar and makes for a listening
experience that is always exciting.
Ryan is currently a freshman at the
North Carolina School of the Arts studying under Gerald Klickstein.
